Physical Exercise

EVERYONE HAS HEARD the phrase “Healthy body, healthy mind.” It’s a medically proven fact that regular physical exercise improves your mood, helps you better manage stress, reduces feelings of depression and anxiety, controls weight and promotes overall physical and psychological well-being.

We feel it is highly beneficial for each of our residents to have a well supervised period of exercise each day as part of their rehabilitation program. Activities include:

■ Cardio workouts on a treadmill, stationary bike and/or elliptical trainer.
■ Weight training with free weights, machines and/or dumbbells
■ Yoga
■ Aerobics
■ Basketball
■ Sand Volleyball
■ Jogging
■ Walking
